Nettoyez votre liste de contacts ActiveCampaign à la demande : validez un seul email, l'intégralité de votre base de données ou un fichier CSV importé, puis appliquez les résultats aux fiches de contact pour une segmentation plus intelligente

Présentation

Mailgun Validate for ActiveCampaign is a native app that lets teams run on-demand email validation directly inside ActiveCampaign. Validate a single address, your entire contact database, or an uploaded CSV list — then apply results to contact records in one click. Use those results to build cleaner segments, filter out non-deliverable addresses, and send to a list you can trust.

  • Validate email addresses on demand from the ActiveCampaign dashboard.
  • Detect invalid, disposable, role-based, and catch-all addresses with 16 reason codes
  • Review results across five categories — deliverable, do not send, catch-all, undeliverable, and unknown — with a full history and risk assessment for every validation job.
  • Run batch validation on existing contact lists to surface stale or risky addresses

Popular ways to use ActiveCampaign with Mailgun

Audit your full contact database before a send

Before a major send, run a full database validation from the Mailgun Validate dashboard inside ActiveCampaign. Every contact in your account is checked and sorted into five result categories. Apply results to contact records with one click — then build a segment that only includes the addresses worth sending to.

Validate an uploaded CSV before it enters your database

Not every list lives in ActiveCampaign already. Upload a CSV of any contact list — a tradeshow export, a CRM migration, an imported spreadsheet — and validate it before it enters your database. Results come back by category, and you can download a curated set of low- and medium-risk emails for import.

Check a single address in seconds

Need to verify one address before a send or a manual outreach? Single email validation lets you enter any address and get an instant result — validation status and risk level — directly from the dashboard. No CSV, no bulk job required.

Clean up existing lists before a send

Not every deliverability problem starts with a new contact. Run Mailgun Validate’s batch validation on your existing ActiveCampaign lists to surface stale, invalid, or risky addresses before your next campaign. Segment flagged contacts out once results are applied.

How To Enable The Integration

Set up the ActiveCampaign integration for Mailgun in minutes

  • Step 1: Get your Mailgun Validate API key  – Log in to your Mailgun account at app.mailgun.com and navigate to API Security. Click Create Key, set the type to Admin, and copy the key immediately — it’s only shown once. You’ll need this in the next step. If you don’t have a Mailgun account with Validate enabled, contact your Mailgun account representative or Mailgun Support before connecting.

  • Step 2: Connect Mailgun Validate to ActiveCampaign  – In ActiveCampaign, open the Marketplace and search for Mailgun Validate. Open the listing and click Connect. In the widget that appears, enter your ActiveCampaign Account URL, your ActiveCampaign API Key (from Settings → Developer), and your Mailgun API Key. Submit to complete the connection. The Mailgun Validate dashboard will appear in the left-hand menu under Accounts.

  • Step 3: Run your first validation  – From the Mailgun Validate dashboard, choose your validation type: single email (check one address in real time), validate database (run your full ActiveCampaign contacts list), or validate email list (upload a CSV). Run the job and review results — sorted into deliverable, do not send, catch-all, undeliverable, and unknown. The dashboard shows results history and a risk assessment for each job.

  • Step 4: Apply results and build segments  – After a validation job completes, click Update contacts to write results to your ActiveCampaign contact records — results appear on each record under the Mailgun Validate section. Use those results to build segments (for example, a segment that excludes non-deliverable addresses so campaigns only reach valid contacts). You can also download a curated list of low- and medium-risk emails from any job.
