Omnichannel

Omnichannel refers to a marketing and communication strategy that delivers a seamless, integrated experience across multiple channels, such as email, SMS, web, mobile apps, and social media. Unlike multichannel strategies, which may operate in silos, omnichannel efforts are connected and context-aware.

In practice, this means:

  • A subscriber might receive an abandoned cart email and a follow-up SMS that references the same product.
  • A customer who browses a product on your website could later see a personalized promotion for it via email or social.

Each channel shares data and adapts messaging based on user behavior, preferences, and engagement history.

At Mailgun, omnichannel relevance matters because email is often the central thread tying these touchpoints together –and consistency across them boosts trust, engagement, and deliverability.
