Personalized email
A personalized email is a message crafted to feel like it was written just for you, not blasted into the void. By using subscriber data – like name, location, past behavior, or preferences – brands can send emails that actually resonate instead of getting ignored (or worse, marked as spam).
Personalization can range from the simple examples such as:
- Dropping in the recipient’s first name (“Hey, Taylor!”)
- Recommending products based on past purchases
To the complex:
- Triggered content based on browsing behavior
- Localized messaging tied to weather, time zone, or events
Why bother? Because personalized emails typically drive higher opens, clicks, and conversions – plus, they reduce the chances of being flagged as irrelevant noise.
Note: True personalization is more than a merge tag. Combine personalization with segmentation and automation flows to send the right message, to the right person, at the right time.
