Until now, using Mailgun inside an AI coding agent or chat tool meant manual MCP configuration or pasting docs by hand. We’ve closed both gaps at once. The Mailgun MCP server and its 15 Skills are now listed in the Cursor Marketplace, and a Mailgun Docs connector is now available directly in Claude — hosted on our Redocly docs site, unauthenticated, and always in sync with our live API reference.

Why does this matter?

  • Cursor users can install Mailgun as their agent’s email tool in one click, with no manual MCP configuration.
  • The 15 Skills cover the full Mailgun suite — Send, Validate, Optimize, and Inspect — so an agent can act on outcome-level prompts like “check my sending health” or “run a campaign preflight” instead of chaining raw API calls.
  • Claude now has always-current access to Mailgun’s API documentation, so it can help you build and debug integrations without relying on training data or pasted docs.
  • The Claude connector requires no API key or Mailgun account — anyone can add it.

What’s not affected:

  • Existing API and SMTP integrations are unchanged.
  • The Cursor MCP server requires a Mailgun API key to take actions on your account. The Claude connector is documentation-only — it surfaces API reference material but does not send email or access account data.
