Spam

Spam is unwelcomed email content that is potentially malicious or may open backdoors for hackers to lift sensitive personal details.

Email professionals aim to avoid sending content that can be misinterpreted as spam so that they don’t land in an inbox service provider’s (ISP) spam trap. If ISPs detect that a domain is sending malicious content, they “punish” the domain, impacting its deliverability and sender reputation. This means that the domain will be less able to place messages in its recipient’s inbox and end up on an IP blocklist.
