Mailgun Inspect is now native in Salesforce Agentforce Marketing
Marketing teams building inside Salesforce Agentforce Marketing have a lot of power at their fingertips. But knowing whether an email will actually look right in the inbox has meant stepping outside that platform entirely.
Why Mailgun Inspect?
Even the best email strategy can be undone by a broken link or a layout that falls apart on a popular device. Mailgun Inspect provides a critical safety net, automating quality assurance to protect your sender reputation and campaign ROI. Here’s a look at the powerful capabilities that set it apart:
- Go Beyond Rendering: While seeing your email on over 100+ devices is crucial, true confidence comes from knowing it works everywhere. Mailgun Inspect runs a comprehensive suite of email checkpoints, testing everything from link validity and image performance to accessibility and authentication.
- Drive Real-World Results: Thorough pre-send testing directly impacts your bottom line.
As we continue to grow, our email capabilities must scale with us. Mailgun Inspect streamlines our email QA workflows, guaranteeing a flawless customer experience and consistent deliverability.
What is Mailgun Inspect for Salesforce Agentforce Marketing?
Built specifically for Sales Agentforce Marketing as a native Lightning Web Component, Mailgun Inspect lets marketing teams preview and test emails across more than 100 email clients and devices directly within their existing workflow. It’s now available as a managed package on the Salesforce AppExchange, adding a Mailgun Inspect tab right inside the email template preview dialog that Marketing Cloud Next teams already use.
That means the rendering check happens exactly where the email gets built, not in a separate application with its own login and its own copy of the HTML. If you want the deeper story on how Inspect handles rendering previews at scale, we broke it down when Inspect first launched.
How does it fit into your existing workflow?
Inspect appears as a tab in the email template preview modal not in a separate window requiring an additional login or exporting HTML. For teams used to bouncing between tools to answer one question (“does this look right?”), this native integration offers a clean solution.
We’ve always believed that the best infrastructure is the kind you don’t have to think about. This integration extends that philosophy into the testing layer – it’s there when you need it, inside the tools you’re already using, without any additional overhead.
What’s included in the Salesforce integration?
Broad client and device coverage
Every preview runs across 100+ real email clients and devices, including dark mode variants, so you can catch a broken layout in Outlook or a color problem in dark mode before it ever reaches a subscriber.
A native experience
Because Inspect is built as a Lightning Web Component, it behaves like a first-party part of Agentforce Marketing. Once a Salesforce admin connects the integration, every team member with the right permission set sees the Inspect tab and can easily preview and QA emails.
Backed by real sending infrastructure
The previews run on the same rendering infrastructure behind Mailgun’s broader platform, which supports email for more than 150,000 companies worldwide.

Pro tip: Install the Mailgun Inspect managed package from the AppExchange, assign the Mailgun permission sets to the right team, generate an API key from the Mailgun dashboard, and paste it into the configuration tab. From there, every user with access sees the Inspect tab the next time they open a preview. Learn more in our help guide.
What’s next for Inspect inside Salesforce
This is the first step for Mailgun Inspect inside Salesforce Agentforce Marketing, not the last one. We’re continuing to build out what Inspect can do for teams working natively in Salesforce, and we’ll share more as those capabilities land.
For now, the goal is simple: teams building emails in Marketing Cloud Next shouldn’t have to leave it to know if those emails are going to work.
