We talk a lot about security around here at Mailgun, but what exactly do we do about it? Besides features like 2FA and teaching users how phishers get your personal information; we want people to help us shore up our backend, too. That’s why today we’re happy to announce our public bounty offerings with Bugcrowd.
Bugcrowd and Mailgun isn’t exactly a new partnership; we’ve been working with them for some time. It’s one thing to take a look at your code and search for flaws after you’ve spent countless hours on it, and another to have a fresh pair of eyes take a look. We’ve been very pleased with the reports we’ve received in the past from Bugcrowd bounty hunters. Their reports are detailed, concise, and easy to reproduce.
What’s really exciting about going public is that anybody can be a part of the bug hunt, and we’ll pay you to find them. We get better security and you get cash in your pocket — everyone wins.
