Step 1: Install from AppExchange
Find Mailgun Inspect on the Salesforce AppExchange and install the package into your org. After install, our team will reach out to help you get set up.
Step 2: Set up your Mailgun Inspect account
A Mailgun Inspect account is required to use the integration. If you don’t have one, our team will contact you after install to configure your account and provision access.
Step 3: Configure your API key
A Salesforce admin enters your Mailgun API key via Salesforce Named Credentials. Go to Account Settings > API Security in Mailgun to create and copy your key, then paste it into the Mailgun Inspect configuration screen inside Salesforce.
Step 4: Start previewing
Open any email template in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, click Preview, and select the Mailgun Inspect tab. Click to generate previews — a thumbnail grid of client and device renderings will appear in seconds. Click any thumbnail for a full-resolution view.

Mailgun Inspect currently integrates with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next email experiences — specifically email templates created in CMS Workspaces and previewed in the Marketing Cloud Next Content app. Marketing Cloud Engagement (Email Studio / ExactTarget), Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Account Engagement (Pardot) are not supported in the current release.
Yes. A Mailgun Inspect account is required. When you install the app from AppExchange, our team will contact you to configure your account. If you already have a Mailgun Inspect account, you can connect it using your existing API key.
The integration uses Salesforce Named Credentials. A Salesforce admin enters the Mailgun API key once in the configuration screen — no per-user setup is required. Every user in the org can then access Mailgun Inspect previews automatically.
