An autoresponder is a feature that automatically responds to incoming emails. Users generally rely on an autoresponder when they’re out of office or dealing with a large volume of emails. Brands use an autoresponder to send emails confirming certain user actions, like placing an order or receiving a payment.
Autoresponders can also be automated texts that confirm receipt of a user’s email. For example, a brand may receive multiple customer queries but not have the bandwidth to respond to each query. Here, the brand can set up an automatic response for customers, mentioning that it’ll get back to them within 24 hours.
