Email order confirmation

An email order confirmation is sent to a customer to confirm an order they’ve placed via a web store. It’s a transactional email, or an automated response based on users’ actions. These emails usually consist of the following details:

  • Buyer’s name

  • Billing and/or shipping address

  • Amount paid

  • Items bought

  • A complete invoice

  • Estimated date of delivery

  • Shipping information, if relevant

Sometimes, brands also include similar products to attract the buyer back to the website to shop more.
